Krishna with Arjuna on Chariot

क्लैब्यं मा स्म गम: पार्थ नैतत्त्वय्युपपद्यते |
क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप || 2.3 ||

When Arjuna was not able to fight against enemies, Lord Krishna said these words to inspire Arjuna, He asks Arjuna to give up his weakness of heart, stand up and fight. Arjuna is a Warrior and Krishna is reminding Arjuna of his Dharma.

Human lifecycle

देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा |
तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति || 2.13 ||

Lord Krishan said to Arjuna, whoever is born is going to die, the soul never dies but transfers from one body to another. Learned persons should not get affected by such change.

Pain vs pleasure

यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ |
समदु:खसुखं धीरं सोऽमृतत्वाय कल्पते || 2.15 ||

Lord Krishna said to Arjuna, those persons who are not affected by happiness and sufferings and remain the same in both conditions are the ones who have achieved immortality (freedom from any kind of mental slavery in this world).

Flowers perform their duties without any attachment to result

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन |
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि || 2.47 ||

Lord Krishna said to Arjuna, perform your assigned duties without any attachment to their results. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the result of your activities. Never get attached to not performing your prescribed duties.
